Knowledgelink 12th Anniversary and 2024 Summit

Introduction: Advancing Together, Creating Brilliance Together

In August 2024, KnowledgeLink celebrated its 12th anniversary milestone while hosting its annual company summit. Employees from across the nation, including the United States, Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Pinghu, Nanchang and Chengdu gathered in Ningbo to commemorate this landmark occasion and participate in this exciting event. The summit was divided into two parts: the management summit on August 24th and the employee summit from August 26th to 27th. The aim was to reflect on the achievements of the past 12 years, unite team strength, and jointly discuss the company’s future direction.

Part One: Management Summit: Enhancing Leadership

At the management summit held on August 24th, the company’s senior leadership received professional leadership and management training. The summit focused on “Fundamentals of Leadership and Management,” providing valuable learning opportunities for the management team. The training covered core topics such as effective leadership strategies, team management techniques. Additionally, the summit included a special communication training session aimed at improving the management’s communication skills and promoting efficient team collaboration and information transfer. These trainings not only enhanced the management team’s professional competence but also laid a solid leadership foundation for the company’s future development.

Part Two: Employee Summit Opening: Sharing Vision

On August 26th, the employee summit officially commenced. Carefully arranged by Barbara and Celliers, the summit began with a vibrant opening ceremony and ice-breaking activities, effectively bridging the gap between employees from different regions. Subsequently, CEO Christine Lin delivered a keynote speech, reviewing KnowledgeLink’s 12-year development journey, sharing the company’s vision, mission, and core values, while also explaining the company’s organizational structure and various expansion plans. Christine’s speech not only provided every employee with a deeper understanding of the company but also inspired everyone’s aspirations and enthusiasm for the future.

Part Three: Educational Philosophy: Shaping Teachers

Following this, Shane Foster, the principal of Barstow School, delivered a welcome speech via online connection. Subsequently, Frank Phillips, the principal of St. Mary’s School, took the stage in person to share his unique insights on the theme “How to Be a Good Teacher.” Both experienced educational leaders emphasized the responsibilities and mission of educators, encouraging all teachers to continuously improve themselves and provide students with the highest quality educational resources and guidance. Shane’s remote address and Frank’s on-site speech inspired the enthusiasm of the educators present, reinforcing their commitment to their professional choices and deepening their understanding of quality education.

Part Four: Human Resources Support: Employee Care

Cici, the Director of Faculty Support, provided a detailed introduction to HR services and support. She focused on explaining the company’s benefits policies, reward mechanisms, and various online learning and career development opportunities. Cici’s presentation made employees deeply aware of the company’s emphasis on talent development and cultivation, enhancing their sense of belonging and loyalty. She highlighted the comprehensive support provided by the company for faculty and staff, demonstrating KnowledgeLink’s commitment to creating a work environment conducive to employee growth and development.

Part Five: Curriculum and Development: Teaching Resources

In the afternoon session, two key educational leaders took the stage. First, Celliers, the Dean of Faculty & Students at the Barstow Ningbo Campus, provided an overview of the curriculum library, comprehensively explaining the company’s rich curriculum resources. His presentation gave teachers a deeper understanding of the available teaching materials, offering valuable guidance for their daily teaching work.
Following this, Barbara, the company’s Chief Academic Officer, delivered an in-depth explanation of the concept and practice of Professional Learning Communities. She emphasized the importance of this innovative model for continuous professional development, providing teachers with a platform for ongoing learning and growth. Barbara’s speech inspired teachers’ enthusiasm for collaborative learning and professional development.
These two presentations provided attendees with valuable insights, helping them better understand and utilize the company’s curriculum resources while encouraging active participation in professional learning communities to continuously enhance their teaching abilities.

Part Six: Group Discussions Professional Growth

The afternoon agenda included rich group discussion sessions, allowing participants to delve into relevant topics based on their respective professional fields. The teaching team was grouped according to different subjects: the English and Art group, the Social Science group, the Science group, the Mathematics group, and the Elementary Education group. These groups thoroughly explored how to fully utilize the curriculum guide, improve teaching quality, and engaged in lively exchanges about the characteristics and challenges of their respective disciplines.
Meanwhile, the operations team also conducted specialized group discussions. These group discussions not only provided valuable opportunities for experience exchange among teachers and operational staff but also promoted cross-departmental communication and cooperation. Participants expressed that through such in-depth exchanges, they gained many new ideas and inspirations that will positively impact their future work.

Part Seven: Summary and Outlook: Uniting Strengths

During the two-day summit, in addition to the aforementioned content, KL’s employees participated in multiple thematic discussions and training sessions covering various aspects such as teaching strategies, marketing, and employee handbook interpretation. The summit not only deepened employees’ understanding of the company’s 12-year development journey but also strengthened team cohesion, laying a solid foundation for future work. Participants expressed that this summit gave them a clearer understanding of the company’s development history and future direction, further solidifying their determination to contribute to KnowledgeLink’s mission.

The successful hosting of this 12th anniversary celebration and summit not only summarized Knowledgelink’s glorious achievements over the past 12 years but also looked forward to future development. It demonstrated the company’s high regard for employee development and firm belief in the educational cause.
